Thank you for your interest in Educating Girls for Life!
Without a strong core of volunteers, Marian Middle School could not break the cycle of poverty. We are blessed to have many part- and full-time volunteers who donate their time each year. Provide Career Information
Marian Middle School hosts Professional Women’s Mentor Luncheons to introduce our students to outstanding female role models. Women talk about their career and life experiences with small groups of students over lunch.
Share Your Story
Inspire the students with your special interest, background, or skills. Topics of interest include sports, fine arts, international cultures, and hobbies.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and perform light clerical duties in an office environment.
Assist in the Classroom
Spend time sharing your expertise with our students as a teacher’s assistant! If you have knowledge of a particular subject, our faculty would love your assistance in the classroom. A major factor in the success of our educational model is one-on-one attention. With small class sizes and volunteers, we are able to continue giving each student individualized attention in the classroom.
Do you have a special talent or skill? Teach yoga, basketball, sewing, or another Enrichment course or serve as a homework tutor. Instructors need to be available one afternoon per week (Monday through Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.). Click here for a full list of Enrichment courses (or let us know if you want to give our students a new opportunity).
