Ashley Vohlken joined the Marian faculty as a substitute teacher in January 2015 and was hired the following school year as the math/STEM teacher. She is a 2014 Eastern Illinois University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, including a study abroad semester in Italy. In 2015, she attended the four-day ISTE Conference in Philadelphia, learning about various technology and STEM opportunities for students in the classroom. Ashley also attended the Forest Park Voyagers Academy, a week-long program in Forest Park, learning about activities and ways to get students outdoors; and a six-week coding class through eMints, learning how to use AgentSheets, in order to implement a Computer Coding class at Marian. Ashley transitioned to fifth grade teacher in 2016.
