A native of Chillicothe, Missouri, Sara Mashburn graduated from Truman State in 2013, with a Bachelors of Arts in English and a Master’s Degree in Education with an Emphasis on Secondary English. She has teaching experience in a variety of schools, from small town Catholic schools to German military bases. She even served as an English as a Secondary Language teacher in Thailand for one year. Sara served as Marian’s Language Arts Teacher from 2014-2023. During the 2022-2023 school year, she transitioned to Marian’s Director of Religious Education. In this new role, she is responsible for teaching all religion courses, as well as planning and facilitating weekly chapel services and other religious-based school events.
