Blair Hopkins grew up in Jefferson City, Missouri, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and French from Saint Louis University (SLU), a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas, and a Master’s Degree in General and Comparative Literature from the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. She began her teaching career in 2007 as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she also studied Spanish. She is a Teach for America (TFA) alumna, who taught two years through TFA at a large public high school in Las Vegas. Blair returned to Missouri in 2014 after four years in Paris, France, where she taught ESL and studied 19th century French and English history and literature at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. Blair served as Marian’s social studies teacher from August 2014 to June 2017. During the 2017-2018 school year, she is teaching Spanish.
