Brittany Daugs grew up in Michigan and has a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Integrated Sciences from Michigan State University. Upon graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and taught science to culturally and linguistically diverse students in sixth through twelfth grade. While in Colorado, Brittany earned her Masters of Arts in Education from Adams State with an endorsement focusing on culturally and linguistically diverse education. This degree allowed her to develop sound multicultural teaching competencies and effective pedagogy for English learners, and helped her to become an advocate for diverse students. During the summer of 2016, she moved to St. Louis with her husband and two dogs and began teaching science and STEM at Marian.
