Families invest in their daughter’s education in many ways—time, energy, and emotional support. They also invest by paying a small monthly tuition. Tuition rates are calculated on a sliding scale based on each family’s household income and adjusted for household size. On average, parents pay $80 per month. Marian works with families of all levels of income to ensure a high quality education is available for every student who applies.

No. We welcome students and families from all backgrounds. We believe diversity enriches our community, creating a sisterhood. We focus on shared Christian values that unite us all—like kindness, service, and respect.
We provide the uniform (khaki pants/plaid skirts and blue tops) so you don’t have to worry about the cost and your daughter doesn’t have the morning stress of what to wear. Dress down days are also awarded.
One of the biggest questions parents ask is, “Will my daughter be lonely or lost?” At Marian, we don’t just enroll students; we build a sisterhood. Because we are a small community of only 60 girls, your daughter will never be just a face in the crowd—everyone will know her name.
On Fridays, we carve out extra time specifically for students to speak with teachers and work on advocacy skills. This ensures that if she is struggling, she doesn’t fall behind over the weekend.
Marian serves urban adolescent girls from the greater St. Louis area, representing up to 30 different zip codes, including St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and East St. Louis.
Absolutely. We view every student as a unique creation of God. Our religion classes and Chapel services are designed to be inclusive. We often invite pastors from our students’ own churches to preach, and our choir sings gospel favorites alongside traditional hymns. We encourage your daughter to apply the values she learns at Marian to her own faith tradition.
Middle school is a time of significant change and growth. Our faith-based environment provides a steady, compassionate foundation during these years. By focusing on the “whole child”—including her spiritual and moral development—we help your daughter build the self-discipline, integrity, and confidence she needs to succeed in high school and beyond.
Yes. About 70% of our graduates go on to attend local Catholic high schools, often with financial assistance and continued academic guidance through our Graduate Support Program.
Once you see what we provide (the support, the safety, and the path to college), we then ask for your commitment to the Student Success Guide.

We know that for your daughter to learn, she needs to feel good—physically and emotionally. Life happens, and at Marian, you don’t have to handle it alone.
Through our Care Team, who are beloved by all of our students, we provide “wrap-around” support so you don’t have to navigate these challenges alone.
We believe health should never be a barrier to education. Through our community partners, we offer
your daughter access to essential services that keep her healthy and ready to learn.
One of the biggest worries for middle school parents is the “cliff” after 8th grade. When you join this community at Marian, you aren’t just getting three years of middle school; you are getting a team for life!
Our Graduate Support Program starts in 6th grade and stays with her through high school, college, and into her first career.
We help guide you through the pipeline, from start to finish. We provide high school tours, application prep, and interview coaching, as well as mentoring through her entire high school experience, and continue to support your daughter in college.
It costs more than $24,000 annually to educate one Marian Girl. Our fundraising team works hard to cover the gap between the tuition families pay, and this annual amount, through generous donations from individuals, foundations, organizations, and corporations.
