Join us at Marian Magic | Annually in April

Marian Magic is our largest fundraiser, raising more than $500,000 annually. Less than 3% of the total cost of educating Marian students comes from tuition, which means that Marian Magic is critical in lighting the way to quality education for Marian Girls. Please join us to help plan the event, or join us as a guest or sponsor!

Career Day | Annually each Spring

Each Spring, students participate in Career Day with our fellow St. Louis NativityMiguel model schools. Eighth graders interact with professionals and learn more about the steps needed to be successful in their chosen career. Marian is seeking a diverse group of people who are passionate about their career and willing to share career advice with young people over speednetworking and interview sessions. Summer Scholars Academy | Annually each Summer

This component of our Graduate Support Program provides an immersive college experience that is especially important for low-income, minority students, who may be the first in their families to attend college. This collaborative program serves 40 rising high school seniors who are alumni of Loyola Academy and Marian Middle School, along with other schools. This 5-day, 4-night residential college experience is held on a college campus. The Academy encompasses college-level coursework, exploration of college and career paths, intensive ACT test preparation, financial aid counseling, assistance with college essay writing, review of the common application, resumé writing, mock college interviews conducted by St. Louis area business professionals, insights from current college students, discussions on mental health and the college transition, strategies for first-year success, and an overall introduction to college life. To learn more, contact Tamara Harris at tharris@mms-stl.org.

Speed Networking | Annually each Summer

During Summer Scholars, high school students engage in sessions on interview preparation, soft skill development, and understanding the significance of internships. During the afternoon, they apply these skills during mock interview speed networking activities. We welcome community members to join as interviewers, where prepared questions will be provided for guidance. Each student rotates through five different volunteers, allowing them to refine their skills and present themselves effectively, possibly to a prospective employer. Women’s Professional Networking Luncheons

11:15 a.m. – 1 p.m. throughout the year

Marian hosts “Women’s Professional Networking Luncheons,” where professional women from across the region meet with our girls one-on-one over lunch for an intimate conversation about their career journeys. Our goal through this program is to help our Marian Girls meet and experience amazing female leaders to expose them to a variety of career paths. Often, our guests find the experience just as valuable as the students, as they ask questions that offer a powerful moment of self-reflection and curiosity. Book your spot now, because spaces fill up quickly!
