To Honor MaryAround December 8th each year, we come together – as a school, and as a Marian Community – to reflect on the blessings of the past year.

With that in mind, we share this beautiful painting lovingly created for Marian Girls by our very talented Art Teacher and nationally acclaimed artist, Ms. Sarah Paulsen-Fuller.

Ms. Paulsen-Fuller created this painting in honor of our Feast Day, a special day for Marian Girls, in which we honor Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and our school’s namesake.

Featuring the Black Madonna, this painting depicts a woman who is strong in the face of the unknown.

• She smiles, knowing that her faith and her loved ones are with her.

• She expresses self-compassion and love, with her hands on her chest.

• She seeks the light, and symbolizes creativity and newness.
