Jazmia is a student who came to us in 6th grade. Her story is a shining example of how a Marian education prepares girls for their bright futures and how Marian changes the trajectory of entire families.

Jazmia exudes an unmistakable zest for life — she’s confident in her abilities and she spreads her light to all who surround her. Jazmia has watched her cousin Alexis, a Marian alumna, enter the education field. She witnessed her aunt earn her bachelor’s degree and even become a published author after Marian staff inspired her to go back to school. She’s also seen her family depend on Marian when times got tough.
The story of Jazmia and her family is a testament to our mission. From 5th grade through career success, Marian’s life-altering education successfully illuminates a path out of poverty.
We are proud to say that in 2023, 100% of alumnae graduated, and 93% went on to post- secondary programs, beating national trends. As we prepare the leaders of tomorrow, we’re expanding our Graduate Support Program with even greater workforce readiness. Our Marian Girls are thriving in internships and careers at forward thinking institutions like Bayer, Ascension, Midwest Employers Casualty, and even Google.
