Michelle worked in corporate America for more than 10 years while dreaming of becoming a therapist. She decided to pursue her goal in 2012, while working full-time and caring for her sick and dying mother and sister. It was a difficult journey, which shaped Michelle’s understanding of grief, trauma, and loss. Michelle achieved her dream in 2015 when she earned her Masters Degree in Counseling from Lindenwood University. Since then, she has focused on providing psychotherapy to marginalized clients and families. She has worked in St. Louis Public Schools through St. Louis Counseling and was a counselor and therapist at both Family Solutions for Kids and Great Circle. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Marian, leveraging principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR to help bring relief and healing to her clients. She loves to incorporate mindfulness-based approaches into treatment and believes the relationship between therapist and client is the most powerful component to healing. Michelle’s God given gift is her ability to develop an immediate rapport and trust with her clients.
